Logging Activities
Premium feature: Activity logging (calls, emails, meetings, and tasks) is not part of the core application. It is available through custom development. The core app supports free-text notes on contacts and companies.
Activities help you track every interaction with your contacts and companies:
Activity Types
- Call - Log a phone call with notes and outcome
- Email - Record an email exchange
- Meeting - Log an in-person or virtual meeting
- Task - Create a follow-up task with a due date
Creating an Activity
- Open a contact, company, or deal detail page
- Click Log Activity
- Select the activity type, add notes, and set a date
- Click Save
Upcoming tasks and scheduled activities appear on your dashboard so nothing falls through the cracks.
Searching & Filtering
Clientverse provides search and filtering across your CRM data:
- Use the global search bar to find contacts, companies, or deals by name, email, or phone
- Use column filters on list views to narrow results by tags, stage, date range, or owner
- Save frequently used filters as custom views for quick access
Tip: Combine multiple filters to create targeted lists - for example, all contacts tagged "VIP" with an open deal in the "Negotiation" stage.
Importing & Exporting Data
Premium feature: CSV import and export are not part of the core application. They are available through custom development or our data migration service.
CSV Import
Bulk import contacts, companies, or deals from a CSV file:
- Navigate to the relevant section (Contacts, Companies, or Deals)
- Click Import and upload your CSV file
- Map CSV columns to Clientverse fields
- Review the preview and confirm
CSV Export
Export your data at any time for backups or external analysis:
- Navigate to the list view you want to export
- Apply any filters to narrow the data set
- Click Export to download a CSV file
Note: Exported data may contain sensitive customer information. Handle CSV files securely and share them only with authorized team members.
Deleting Records
To delete a contact, company, or deal:
- Open the record's detail page
- Click the Delete button
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Caution: Deleting a company will unlink all associated contacts and deals. Deleting a contact removes their activity history. These actions cannot be undone.
Reports & Analytics
Premium feature: Reports and analytics are not part of the core application. They are available through custom development. The core app provides a dashboard with summary widgets.
With reporting in place you can understand your sales performance through views such as:
- Pipeline Overview - Visualize deals across stages with total values
- Revenue Forecast - Weighted forecast based on deal probabilities and expected close dates
- Activity Summary - Track team activity volume (calls, emails, meetings) over time
- Won/Lost Analysis - Review win rates and reasons for lost deals
Tips for Power Users
- Use tags consistently to segment contacts (e.g., "VIP", "Partner", "Lead Source: Website")
- Keep detailed notes on each record so your team has full context on every relationship
- Review your pipeline weekly to keep deal stages and close dates accurate
- Use filters and tags to build focused lists of contacts and deals
- Keep close dates current on every open deal to stay on top of your pipeline
